Although the Muslim empires of the 14th to16th century were more prosperous than Europe, they couldn't dominate world affairs during this time.
Elaboration
During these times, the Ottoman, the Safavids, and the Mughal Empire had a lot of impacts on the world. Such as expanding the territory, leaving great national treasures like the Taj Mahal, and flourishing the art. However, the Muslim empires still weren't able to dominate the world.

Explanation/analysis
1. By the killing of the emperors' own sons, only the weakest sons were left to become the next shah. Which obviously led to the empire falling and losing power because of their poor leaderships.
2 As people wanted more and more power and wanted to be the next emperor, fights increased and quarrels grew. Sons of rulers, other people, and even wives made big confusions about gaining power.
3. Lack of resources led to a great number of death of people caused by a famine. This made the power of the central state weaken and ended up with ripped up independent states.
